Author's Note
Starting today, I've assigned myself to stop rigid syllable counting on haiku and senryu. This senryu is a 5-5-4. Normally, I would have spent a while turning the sentiment into a 5-7-5, but here the thought itself is more preserved. I don't like to include titles for such short poems, but this one helped convey the meaning.
