Generic Things that Make Up a Week

Got a new toilet this week
Quick flush rapid response to human output
Plumbers had to break my bathroom wall to install
Leaving a large hole that the Super will repair later
This is a big deal in my ancient building
Last night a large water bug was in my bedroom
Right before we retired for the night
My wife screamed and chased it into the foyer
Where I met the beast with a quick response by my boat shoe
Water Bugs are tough creatures
Didn't go easy
Only way to exit it was in the new toilet
Quick flush and he was gone
Could have been a She too but who's counting
Left me unsettled right before bed
Nightmares ensued as they do each August
Work dreams dating back to a job 20 years ago
I love my new toilet though
