Insubstantial

Hate has substance: it comes in purple shades,
Grown in clusters; blossoming through pain;
You gift me cherry moons; each soon degrades
Through nights of cruelty and days you stain;
Crude harassment may crush: hurt never goes;
It burns in me like fevers of the mind;
Who'd suffer? Every flying fuck just flows
With freezing chill to waylay once you find
There's nothing's left: malevolence will bend
Not break; you've savaged me so many times;
This skewed destruction veers to bitter ends;
Love's extirpation brings us sweet hate crimes
That no one judges: who'd caution offence,
Once rancour's knife shows bloodier substance?
