Shifting Gears

Doing what's right in the sight of others may not be what's right for you
You only get one life to live so don't live like you get a few
Only you can pursue love and happiness that's tailor made
Let others doubt your route while you score by running a fade

You call the plays because, at the end of the day, you'll have the W or the L
So they'll be occasions when you must tell some folks to kiss your tail
Let them dwell on their fears and mistakes from previous years
Evaluate your own mistakes and then decide if you should shift gears
