Solitude's My Friend

I once met a friend named Solitude who was very quiet
He told me that that was his way of avoiding the riots
Society's patriots who regurgitate shit like their parrots
He got tired and decided he didn't want to hear any more of it

So he hit eject from the Matrix jet and now lives off the grid
Living a life that's devoid of strife like he fantasized of as a kid
Hid in plain sight only visible to the enlightened who recognizes fallacies
He's choosing to be free instead of living the rest of his life on his sore knees

He grieves for those who still don't know that there's a war outside
Those who still have faith in the disgraced politics and can't see the lies
Realizing that some third eyes have calcified and are unable to critically think
He tried to convince others to depart the ride but insanity was on the brink
