One more gift

Now wakes the crimson petal,
falling sepals in the lake
cast aside the rising stigma,
bloom and flourish,
wings unfurled, spread wide.

Seek nectar, pollen sweet
share with butterflies and eat
scents unsurpassed by nature.
One more gift, only one,
yet worth a thousand times.
Thirst surmounts desire,
hear the fountain source
waft away butterflies, kiss
tender wings in gratitude,
now to fly alone,crimson petals
sweet soft and lips content.
