manifests    
   
we spend

lifetimes amassing fortunes;    
boxes, drawers, closets    
garages and storage units of    
things    
we're certain to use at later dates    
when occasion calls for    
   
rarely letting go of personal baggage    
dragged along in tow on wheels    
out of town or at our heels    
in weekly curbside trips    
making deposits of trash    
   
taking decades    
if not longer to accumulate    
more room in our lives to breathe    
and space in our hearts for    
what truly matters:
