Moonriser

As ancient as the stars there are no others
Yet I’m in tune with another celestial being
My precious Luna shines brightest in the sky
Being bathed in her soft life is a sensation worth experiencing.

I rise with the moon to seek the light
Even though the night is dark, I’m none the wiser
I’m never more at peace than dancing under the midnight sun
For I’m an ever faithful moonriser.

As Earth’s loyal companion, my sweet Luna fills our lives with joy
Whenever danger approached, she’d always put herself in the line of danger
I sleep better at night knowing that she rests in the night sky
Despite the immense distance between us, I don’t see her as a stranger.
