Inextinguishable Flames
You've made so numb
By the words you've left in my brain
It empowered you
To take control of me
Changing me
I couldn't even recognize myself
Tucked myself away
You never wanted to know the real me
You've left me so scarred
You tried to extinguish
What made me
Me
Now
The coals
Have become flames
Consuming me
Making me stronger
To over come
The numbness
You gave me
So now I rise
The fire
Burns bright
You can see it in my eyes
I'm no longer afraid
Of being me
Becoming
A Beautiful Disaster
By the words you've left in my brain
It empowered you
To take control of me
Changing me
I couldn't even recognize myself
Tucked myself away
You never wanted to know the real me
You've left me so scarred
You tried to extinguish
What made me
Me
Now
The coals
Have become flames
Consuming me
Making me stronger
To over come
The numbness
You gave me
So now I rise
The fire
Burns bright
You can see it in my eyes
I'm no longer afraid
Of being me
Becoming
A Beautiful Disaster
