Together
There are stories to be told
Who will listen?
Flavorless dreams bring cravings
Monotone sermons can't christen
For the pain we are braving
So make us work for the story
Bruise our fingers, fill our lungs
Til we are light from head to heart
And the player knows the part
Then we'll sing it over together
And we should sing to one another
We should sing together
We could sing harmonies
We should sing to one another
Let hearts add polyrhythms
And they'll beat while the song flows free
Emotions find sounds with the themes
In a sea of tangled weave
We long to cross into pattern
With a wail from our hearts
Reaching through textures of sound
Into soulful whispered tones
Painting the sky to the ground
With a story in a song
To place a lost and wandering soul
Somewhere we all belong
Who will listen?
Flavorless dreams bring cravings
Monotone sermons can't christen
For the pain we are braving
So make us work for the story
Bruise our fingers, fill our lungs
Til we are light from head to heart
And the player knows the part
Then we'll sing it over together
And we should sing to one another
We should sing together
We could sing harmonies
We should sing to one another
Let hearts add polyrhythms
And they'll beat while the song flows free
Emotions find sounds with the themes
In a sea of tangled weave
We long to cross into pattern
With a wail from our hearts
Reaching through textures of sound
Into soulful whispered tones
Painting the sky to the ground
With a story in a song
To place a lost and wandering soul
Somewhere we all belong
