Image for the poem Tact

Tact

He had sufficient tact to understand;
And he knew how to banish genuine
Fears, to substitute the games he'd planned,
Because his pleasure pet (me) would incline
To serve him, in my way, and to amuse
Him, though I was a slip to him: a girl,
Who responded to mirthfulness; each ruse,
That deviated thoughts, he would unfurl
To hold my interest and captivate
Me, like a father can entrance his child;
He built an atmosphere that could awake
New sensitivities, as he beguiled
Me, with every fancy, and each act
Of love: he fucked me firmly with such tact...
