To-do's
I have written many lists
of names and places
and dates and also
lists of emotions I should feel.
I have tampered with time
and course of events that would've
conjured my happiness
so now I digest the fine division
between pain and loss.
There are familiar tunes that
wake me up to a world
where I still have to go on
though all else had turned to grey.
Sometimes I write similar lists
over and over and over and over and -
not realizing the repetition
of never being able to say
"I have gotten over this."

some are crossed out
and some are thrown away
whilst some are still left
undone and
in a pile collecting dust and
tangles of memories.

I have always had a hard time finishing what I start. I have made many lists as well. From reading this poem, I would almost guess that you were a tad bit OCD? I can identify with this piece. Great work! ;)

thank you for reading! you know what, maybe i am a wee bit OCD, i usually am not fussy about things but i get that sudden urge to clean up or make lists or get restless when something isn't placed right..
Now this is getting into the territory I love. Of course I read
everything of yours, have followed you a long while. And yes, I can
never get over how overblown your constant strings of extreme metaphor are.
Usually that would turn me off. BUT yours are SO wonderful, SO original that
I never get tired of them. This poem is more controlled, more suited, to my
dull senses (you are probably thinking). Whatever. We're different in our
approach, but I will always read you because you have something I envy.

never had a chance to update on my old comments. thank you so much for following me. i hope you are still enjoying my writing to this date. never envy, we are all talented in our own ways... thank you so much though! i do my best with metaphors, i try not to overdo them, but most of the times when i write i just end up not thinking at all and that's when my best poems come out.
