Who am I?
Who am I to the wisened trees,
the earth below, and the life beneath?
who am i to the vastness of this plane,
the summer rain, and the falling leaves?
and who am I to you, so small,
a fraction of your life, and your all?
who am I to love you, I so worthless?
there are so many others you could call
I gaze upon you so far away
i am lost and i am faint
your eyes, they are so beautiful
oh, but i must refrain
I am not worthy of your touch
if I said I loved you would it be too much?
and I cannot beg for you to stay
It would be desperate and I cannot rush
Oh who am I to call you mine,
a hopeless beggar, a waste of time?
who am I to shed these tears
as i wish for you in the dead of night?
Who am I?
the earth below, and the life beneath?
who am i to the vastness of this plane,
the summer rain, and the falling leaves?
and who am I to you, so small,
a fraction of your life, and your all?
who am I to love you, I so worthless?
there are so many others you could call
I gaze upon you so far away
i am lost and i am faint
your eyes, they are so beautiful
oh, but i must refrain
I am not worthy of your touch
if I said I loved you would it be too much?
and I cannot beg for you to stay
It would be desperate and I cannot rush
Oh who am I to call you mine,
a hopeless beggar, a waste of time?
who am I to shed these tears
as i wish for you in the dead of night?
Who am I?
