TRAFFIC : CAGE

Inhalation
Iron taste, charcoal lips
The smears of every word
That splay my wish

Hallucination
Bloodshot, polished sky
Read me wide tonight
Before I'm able to sleep

You pulled me down
From torture and rage
My God in a cage
What's lost, I found
Mounds beneath the pain
My God in a
Cage

Pulp and filth
Steel bar headrest
Never question why
As my voice died

Cannot resist to spill
Eaten alive inside
Salivated, frozen sweat
And formaldehyde

Waiting upstairs
I'm in the flesh
To claim the rest

You forced me down
Rust tears into my back
My God in the black
I plead once more
The binding is worn
My God I
Abhor

My God in lustful eyes
Told me to obey
My God in ebbing waves
Is this what I deserve?
My God in a

Cage
