How I Know

I’m not nervous in the least,
No fear that I’m not good enough
For demands that I can’t meet,
No over-whelming need to prove myself,
No pretense I should keep,
No anxiety--
I’m not stressed about the details,
Rushing to make plans, over-excitedly,
No expectations that I’ll fail,
I’m not questioning what’s right for me,
That’s how I know you’re leading me.

I’m not worried what they’ll see,
I don’t have doubts about my capabilities,
No pride that thwarts my humility,
Only peace--
I don’t feel the need to excuse inconsistencies,
I’m not ashamed about the possibilities,
I don’t have concerns about where I should be,
That’s how I know you’re leading me.
