Breathing Life

I never sought to kiss you on the lips;
But, merely want new life breathed into you;
I'd fill you with such heat, hell fire hits
You hard; it burns with passion that I knew
You were so capable of; before long,
I realised your body was aflame;
You've burned me with deep sadness; was that wrong
By standards that could focus all the blame
On you? You're strong, salacious and in charge;
Or should they seek to pin it all on me?
I lit the tinder freely, by and large,
So, ought to take responsibility
For wanting every fuck you had to give,
Before you died and left me here to live.
