Blood Drunk
whenever she’s feeling lonely
she sings her song of lure
falling back into infidelity
like she’s two people
the good girl and the bad
inner angel counting every
second, minute, hour
outer demon whispers “sex is power”
when legs wrap around her prey
it’s bewitching
she has away to his heart
and away in-between
somewhere is her conscience
somewhere is she
feeling a little bit faded
kind of hazy
thinking, she’s blood drunk
just about any sorceress would do
but he prefers this zombie girl
acting mindless, emotionless
she’s a different kind of whore
it’s ok, that's exactly what he likes
someone to jump on that pole
drain him of his seed, then leave
never asking questions
of the lover she sleeps with
he has away to her heart
and away in-between
somewhere is his courage
somewhere is he
feeling a little bit faded
kind of hazy
blame it that he’s blood drunk
forever was never in their cards
loyalty is only a myth to these creatures
going round and round
running into each other’s arms
then back to their sinficent other
playing the family lie
secretly feeding their sexual desires

Love drunk, is definitely better than blood drunk... but each to their own !

Hehe... well there is a reason I called it blood drunk. Though I didn’t want to make it too obvious to the reader. It’s more of an inside thing. When writing this it was supposed to be that the two were vampires in a very human situation. Kind of a bit weird, but my mind go weird places haha 😁

This is very a intense and thoughtful poem. I enjoyed how you compared sexual desire to blood lust. It’s interesting because infidelity is taboo but your poem caputures the intensity and rush of the act. Also, how you call the girl a zombie/emotionless is really interesting. It sounds like the individuals in the poem are trying to escape their reality/feelings/life so they can just simply devour each other’s flesh for pleasure!
