Skylight

Since I had the skylight
a kaleidoscope of your eyes
I can see the stars glide
those parachuting mushrooms
full bloom on the roof tiles
every night all the time

Tonight it’s just as usual
my dream state seems real
as the stars come to my roof
drawing jade wine in the well
where is my home I dwell
every night at the bottom I lie
expect to see them decline

Living in the well of suntan
I’m just like a diehard fan
Hiding beneath the skylight
peeking with innocent eyes
I lift the veil, so
the stars can cross the vessel
coming down the space tunnel

Therefore I can be in person
witness their beauty pageant
The road is old and narrow
guide me to the way of hollow
thanks to your mysterious eyes
lead me to admire the starry skies

So much enjoy being a voyeur
seeing star kids lining up there
Wish you could tell me all
write their names on the wall
so I can do the roll call
just as what I do at the school hall

Shhh! Let‘s keep the secret
for fear that they will secrete
we know how much they want to
have a window in the roof too
so they can see me through
by the skylight of you
