Nail to jesus cross
I was sharpened harder than before
I was sharpened harder for victory
I could feel joy in the hammer's wielder, victory had finally befall
I can never recall
If I was the first one in
All I heard were cries of Jesus tied to a cross
I went in deep, piercing his flash and drilling holes into his bones
Finally my crime was a victory for all
I stood proud and full of joy
I've brought freedom to all
Then the spear of destiny came around and took the spot
I wasn't the main act of the plot after all
When all was done, what was done to me was unjust
I was thrown away, thrown in the dust
I was easily forgotten and I wasn't taken into Paradise
What wrong have I done?
I too I've spilled his blood
I too I made him suffer
But where is my payment for my crime?
The spear of destiny has taken the spoils of war
A war it never really fought
I had to be hammered a thousand times
I had to still my head to never bend
I had to make sure the world would see his blood
I curse Matthew 20:6
I'm just a nail after all
I'm the one Victor forgot
I was sharpened harder for victory
I could feel joy in the hammer's wielder, victory had finally befall
I can never recall
If I was the first one in
All I heard were cries of Jesus tied to a cross
I went in deep, piercing his flash and drilling holes into his bones
Finally my crime was a victory for all
