Doubts
My mind is consumed
Feeling stressed
I know I'm blessed
But right now I'm having doubts
They say when it rains it pours
True story
I know to God be the glory
But right now I'm having doubts
Just when I thought I was rising to the top
I get knocked back
Seems like the devil on the attack
I need to fall on my knees and pray
I know my God will make a way
Need to get rid of these doubts
But it's like they trying to stay
Oh Lord I come before thee
My hands together
Head bowed
Im trying not to listen
Negative voices getting loud
I love you Lord
I lift my voice
I trust you Lord
No other choice
But I'm still having doubts
*sigh*

I'm a lapsed Catholic (losing my religion was a long story). But if you have a faith, any faith, then you are going to struggle from time to time. It just the nature of these things.

You are so right about that...do you think that at some point you’ll turn back to your religion? There was a time that I quit going to church etc..it was years before I came to it

I most definitely will never return to Catholicism. I have a strong sense of the spiritual - so that suffices for the moment. I do, however, respect all faiths.

'Honest to God' to admit you doubt amidst faith. As it mentioned rain - during atrocious showers I have been caught in I often recall 'praise God in ALL circumstances' and restate God's lordship.

Yes you definitely must praise God even in the midst of a storm but sometimes it can be hard to do...but I’m working on it.
