I never began writing until I was 45 and I had to learn a lot I wouldn't know one punctuation mark from another..i remembered how certain words were used to enhance others I only went to a school they had in prison the smaller words is my way I use them pretty well sometimes

Those imperfections are what makes your speech pattern your own.

that is how I do every one I write if it doesn't roll smoothly its not done
once in a creative writing class I was told if I could write like I talk I would do ok so that is my way I just never learned how to make the big words fit...most people are dumbed down now and my easy words fit their kind of stuff I can't lose them...I talk to my poems it seems to work out for me...see ya around thanks

I've never done a creative writing class... but I have been going to a writers' workshop once a week... still testing it out... trying to make it fit poetry... works sometimes... Later, Write on!

that was what I went too professors came too but we mostly read poems and talked about stuff hell I never went to school in the 1st place

Self taught is OK... all the tools you need are out there... and there are people who will help when you need it.
