Image for the poem aching blue

aching blue

twin pools disengage and reflect
they mirror each other
within thoughts of passion

blood stirs and stances are taken
with a long look back
tawny locks slowly turns
then walks forward

leaving aching blue
to ponder feelings
within her heart's deepest chambers

the answers lie inside
but she doesn't see them
matching soul's flame blown by the wind
almost winks out

so with an up cast face
ocean beseeches the heavens
call back the tides of feeling
that confuses

amber's moon controls the seas of emotion
it is in her nature to bring
the ocean into submission

tides threaten the shores of contentment
with a powerful pull of the moon
the seas are mesmerized

azure waters are at last calm
in the cove of enlightenment
