I remember what you were to me when you were first introduced to me as a child through the music and it was magic.
Your voice was nothing like I ever heard before it was soft, sweet, and intoxicatingly hypnotic.
I reminisce about those nights when I would stay up late at night and lay in bed listening to your music then falling asleep to it.
Your music was my escape,
It put me in ease and at the same time made me believe that I could do anything.
I felt part of you in each line as you'd speak so clearly and voice out your heart so beautifully.
That day when you went away I will never forget how I tried to hold back all the pain I was feeling inside for how could I feel such love for someone I never personally met, but this feeling was too strong to bare I burst in sorrow 'cause you wouldn't make it for another tomorrow.
For I never have dreamt you would leave in summer,

One of a kind you were your own person, no one truly knew you

No other can take your place or even try to and even when they try to they just embarrass themselves 'cause no one can move like you do, no one can sing like you do, no one can write the same way you do.
You worked accordingly to the music as you were the slave to the rhythm, you let the beat and sound control you and mold you while help you feel what needed to be done.
A genius on the dance floor, you were influential, incredible, admirable, and inspirational.
People copied you and looked up to you as they wanted to be like Mike.
A man who was following his own beat of his drum and not caring what people thought of him;
They tried to tear you apart, they tried to make you ugly when you were beautiful, but you held your head high and mighty like a true king and stood so proud for all of us.
You went through so much and had to bare so much for a heart to take.
You could only take so much for so long.
They tried to break you and finally you broke free.
