When Tears No Longer Fall
I try to cry but the tears just will not fall
I want to talk to you but you no longer call
When someone hurts you it hurts me worse
My eyes are now like a deserted thirst
I still feel the pain deep inside of my heart
Though I know you think of me not when we are apart
I wait by my phone but I never from you get a text
I wait for you to come to me but I am never next
My eyes burn like the sand on the desert floor
Just when I think I do not want to cry I want to more
Like two ships destined to sail in different directions
Hidden beneath the deep buried conflicting affections
Where water never falls no matter how hard they try
I am awash in tears of a broken heart that cannot cry
