Hymns Of A Rose
'tis a Rose
birthed with the restlessness of love
embedded in a purity so fragile..so delicate
underappreciated..never reciprocated
wandering alone unsheathed
in a world amongst the misbegotten yet
never to blend in a field of weeds
a soul sojourner seeking truth beyond
the mythos of sex and the hypes of society
possessed with a type of propriety
that unnerves the modern man..out of place
hoping to reserve a space just for one
coping with the pressures of time
yearning to one day move freely within the gifts
of her genuineness and ingenuity
sacred in synchronous companionship
with every element of her crown recognized
rationalized and redeemed..petals thorns and all
allowing the rose to reflect and magnify
that which was selflessly given
