Cages
Broken loves throughout my ages
Pieces of my heart kept in cages
Used by others for me to be levered
My past and future I have severed
Fog of emptiness around me like confusion
I live my life wrapped in a blanket of delusion
Hide my crushed dreams beneath my pillow
Like the love that I long ago once did know
Love is just a masquerade of deception
Something of which I have no conception
So I walk among the trees of night shadows
With my feelings shattered like broken windows
