Image for the poem daisy chains

daisy chains

the daisies are calling
while lazy in their beds
they are excited
wildflowers now dot the land
their passion contagious

the daisies pick up this energy
and bloom more vibrantly
they are the sirens of the fields
calling to fair maidens

"lie down on my natural bounty
spend time in the sun
singing songs with your sisters
and making daisy chains
to adorn your hair with"

they whisper to me of summer
how the fields are alive
all praising mother nature
with up turned faces
they praise the skies

beautiful souls are the flowers
keeper of dreams and wishes
he loves me, he loves me not
they are the keeper of secrets
