we were
never
destined

togetherness

meant

the times
I tried
you
lied
and
I died
a slow
and
painful
inner death
as the love
we shared
withered
and
died
upon the
seasonal
cusp
I loved
you
and
I died
to save
myself
from
the ongoing
torture
of your
greasy
lies
the only
place
where
your love
lies
and I

despise

Always a good thing to get it off ya chest
One can't move on until one has found acceptance of where they once were and where they are now
Many linger for longer than what is necessary thus prolonging precious happier future times
I think we all do that from time to time
