Appreciating the subtlety
Is it worth it? The slow fleetingly days that fade. Would love if you would whisk me away into darker shades.
It's a pain. I have so much to say. Maybe if I remember I can try to catch you around on the second time.
Might our fingers intertwine on this, our only night? Walking down side walks in the dimming street lights.
You have such a commanding presence. Your clothes your hair all smell of your own unique fragrance.
You talk and I listen. I hear your every word. We don't often get much time to converse. Each fleeting moment is all spurred.
And what if I don't get to see you at all? Is it worth the pain I endure? Is there anything you can do or say that will make me feel reassured?
It hurts not to see you, but when I do shades of rose quartz inherits my shades of lonely blue.
I suppose it is worth it to you to appreciate the subtlety. Each new garment is like the first time you've ever seen me.
Is it worth seeing a brilliant blue? Watch as it fades over time into an icy hue.
Do you miss the sound of my voice or the brush of my skin? Does it make you yearn for me? Do you wish to see me again?
Even then, what will we do? Will we go to the park, or try something new.
Even as the days go by slowly, every day with you is an adventure. I suppose even I can learn to appreciate the subtlety.
