I Just Wish

I just wish we could sit and read poetry
To each other all day!  
Lie in each other’s arms  
And with our emotions we’d play.  
Read between the lines,  
With our heartbeats intwined,  
We’d ride on a rhyme,  
To drift far away!  
We’d go sonnet for sonnet,  
Prose for prose,  
Romance and erotica,  
Read sensually and slow.  
I’d like to take you on a journey,  
With your hand in mine.  
Make love to your intellect.  
As we’re lyrically inclined.  
Let’s connect on a level,  
Spiritually metaphysical,  
And relish in the orgasmic  
Effects of the residual.  
We’d gaze into each other’s eyes,  
Tantric love making poetry,  
Let’s take the day off from the world.
