Like Father, Like Son
He knew, he knew all along
The coming war wouldn't take too long
He knew he had to act quickly to win
But even more quickly for war to begin
To begin the operation and finally crush Iraq
Or he would lose his chance for the mass attack
He set the course for all the lies he would put forth
To target someone to fill the empty shoes of Ollie North
Like father, like son, he needed someone he could blame
But false intelligence only leads to a greater family shame
Now this mighty nation must close the bleeding breach
Of trust, and wisely utilize the people's power to impeach
For the only mass destruction was to Iraqi lives and land
And now he's sure their weapons plan must be buried in the sand
His plan is clear, to create new laws for his absolute power
His corruption built with the bones unfound from either tower
All this time we wondered where all the innocent victims went
Now they've been found being used by King George, the pResident
Claiming to bring justice to US by freeing terrors firm controls
And just like those he hates, unjustly used our soldiers and their souls

The war of the great lie is finally coming to an end. President Obama is bringing the soldiers home by years end. After more than 10 years of war with a nation that was not building a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, we are almost done. All that remains now is the arrest and prosecution of war ciminals from the Bush administration. Let the healing begin!

Thanks Grace, and now I have to read up on my history. I haven't read about John Calvin since I was about 15, lol. Was there really peace before then or was that sarcasm? jj

Calvin was a religious man, though I don't see his connection to massacres in America, other than perhaps those who were responsible for them were followers of his brand of Christianity. So far as I know, he was never here personally, but you can say there was peace here before his religion got here.
I am not a historian, but did any of the Native Americans make war with each other before 1492? Certainly the rest of the world had been making war since before Moses. And in all that time, we have not advanced seemingly at all. For all the things we have invented, all the philosophy intellectualized, all the art we have created, all the humanity we have expressed, we are no less the war makers than we were before the very first time one of us killed another for a reason lost to history. Perhaps it was Cain and Abel who were first, or a couple of unknown cave dwellers, but no matter if it was six thousand years ago, or sixty thousand years ago, only our method of murder has been refined.
