Human Nature

People always say to me
"Courtney you are happy and kind to everyone. After all you been through how can you be such a sweet young lady?"

I stop and think for a moment looking in their eyes then simply reply
"Its Human Nature."

Its Human Nature to over come your fears and challenges.
Push forward while your mind persists that you stop
Overpower your courage and conquer your demons

Because we all have Demons

Its Human Nature to pick up a starving stray animal on the side of the road
Then you come to realize that the dog or cat had gotten lost
As you return the animal and the owner thanks you over and over expressing their gratitude

We all should have Gratitude

Its Human Nature to give half of your sandwich to the homeless man holding up that sign that says
"World War 2 Veteran..Lost my wife to cancer and lost my house due to overwhelming medical bills."
As he eats that sandwich you grab a blanket and a twenty dollar bill out of your car and give it to him
That old man breaks down and you can't help but feel sympathy

Everyone shows sympathy

Its Human Nature to look up at your husband and feel love as he kisses you goodnight
As you try to fall asleep you listen to him and your baby boy breath in and out you can't help but smile
Every breath they take sends your mind further into thought
That your husband is the only man you truly love until your baby stoled your heart

Love is something to spread

Its Human Nature to be Humbe, Kind, Strong, and Caring
