Green Tea

Get this - you're the picnic to my ants
We've got an inevitable, sweltering romance
Late spring-green coincidence...
mhm... coincidence!

Something in the middle of your mind
has owned me ever since we first met eyes.
I miss you more than daylight...

than daylight,
when I've got broken glass for sleep, I stare at your memory
Behind the clouds, the full moon pouts:
"That's how you used to look at me!"...

I miss your green tea,
how your window let the morning in,
the safe, sound heaven in your arms;
the perfect way we fit -

make me some green tea,
for sipping while I'm holding you.
I will be leaving
only when you've told me to.

...

I've given up on holding back -
my head-to-toe, my mind, my soul - you have it
My love is young and dumb right now
but I'm gonna watch it grow tall and strong and proud...
tall and strong and proud.

The other flowers sink their roots down low
into this meadow; 'course they never will let go
But you know I lift my petals in the breeze,
ready for your hand to come pick...
me -

I miss your green tea,
how your window let the morning in,
the safe, sound heaven in your arms;
the perfect way we fit -

make me some green tea,
for sipping while I'm holding you.
I will be leaving
only when you've told me to.

 green tea,
for sipping while I'm holding you.
I will be leaving
only when you've told me to.
