Life's Real Fears

There are many things to be afraid of
In life like heights or spiders or snakes,
But what about falling and being in love?
 
Maybe when your delicate heart breaks
Too many times and you cannot keep
The earth from the rumbles or shakes.
 
When you fall down the dark and deep
Hole, not sure if anyone is going to catch
You. When you always cry and weep
 
But nobody hears you. When you scratch
Your fingernails across his skin, knowing
That your feelings have come to hatch
 
And spread like a wildfire. The growing
Waves, a tide of emotions like roller
Coasters because you can try slowing
 
Them down, but they can be bipolar
And fast moving, but you are not afraid
Of everything that is intergalactic or solar.
