Fire's Flame

Thirst across an aching tongue,
indulged, an innocence to imbibe,
a need to brew, to rid, then take
mixed among the muck, the fake
greed it sits in awe and waits
seeking out a sinful wake
to quench, to soothe
as lovers crave
a dance consumed
by fire's flame
