love hurts
i understand the need for trust.
i want to know you
in my heart
i want to believe in you
i want to love you.
but
will our love hold enough magic
for us to last
love ends up with someone being hurt.
and i am afraid to let you
be cruel to me?
so
maybe today
i will push you away
...and remain unhurt,
unloved.

feeling fear when it comes to love is something I can relate to..feelings are scary..I agree with the previous comment..maybe you should give love a chance..I know of your brave heart..beautiful poignant poem..peace Crim :)

Than never to have loved at all" ...as they say. And i think its true. To Not at least try will probably hurt more because you'll think 'shoulda/coulda/woulda'.
