CHORES

Thunder shakes the house
trees in the backyard bend
punished by steady wind
raindrops reach a resounding climax
rat-tat-tatting Kamikazes
colliding with the window pane
brilliant diamonds
in blue streaks of lightening illuminated

Sprawled in my spot on the couch
watching repeats of home improvement shows
shamed by my lackluster handyman skills
brushing something ticklish from my cheek
a slip of paper dangles before my eyes
accompanied by a sweet whisper
“here’s your honey-do list dear”
damn-it is there no escape?
reading the single written item
my sluggish pulse races
“Do me” it reads

From behind the couch she appears
fresh from her shower
hair slicked back, cheeks faintly crimson
light pink skin peeking through
a white, loosely tied, terrycloth robe
perching on my lap
from my hand she quickly grabs my sceptre
clicking off the television
commanding me “GET TO WORK!”

In less than a blink
as if bewitched
my t-shirt and shorts
fall in a heap on the floor
the robe now loose
envelopes us like angel wings
waves of elation course through my frame
when our electrified flesh meets
we kiss and kiss and kiss
competing for the I-love-you-more prize

Devouring her erect ruby nipples
my firm hands cradling her perfect ass
slowly penetrating her heat
profoundly connected we dance
crescendoing moans escape her smiling lips
in a wondrous orgasmic aria
summoning deity we shudder and collapse
CHECK!
