Dear Love
Dear Love,
I stumble upon you again
in the early wakes of morning
strides in exhibition within waves
crashed upon memories enslaved
held up, and suspended
Destined to dance this fate of romance pain outshines the sun when all is said and done
time she has not been kind
to a heart put on display
passions penned to the end
destiny no longer her friend
Love, you've been gone too long
leaving no crumbs, to follow
as I swallowed life's bitter pill
but here you are again
and this time . . .
I stumble upon you again
in the early wakes of morning
strides in exhibition within waves
crashed upon memories enslaved
held up, and suspended
Destined to dance this fate of romance pain outshines the sun when all is said and done
time she has not been kind
to a heart put on display
passions penned to the end
destiny no longer her friend
Love, you've been gone too long
leaving no crumbs, to follow
as I swallowed life's bitter pill
but here you are again
and this time . . .
