Sermon of Reason

The sand of our lives
A wrinkly grit in time
Slipping away like an untethered clothesline
I don't know about you
But I feel chance in the air
& yearning will be mine!
Release the cinch,the taut grasp
Let the tension cease
Allow peace,to stream and flow
Let gallop & run fast
Without pause or control...
Have me lead you
For I don not follow like blind cattle
Can't brave the deep?Well,
Paddle in a pond then
Because I am not the one who's shallow...
A heart,mind & soul
Within me are stowed,
In this husk called a body?
Is not hollow...
If you are lost
Come with me,
Cause I only lead
I don't follow
The time of our lives
Running out of oxygen clothesline,
I can't speak for you
But opportunity is here & the bounty will be mine
For I'm all for living
& having good times....
Thus that's what makes being alive so divine.
