As I lay down
As i lay my head down to sleep
I don’t sleep that well anyway
I was told to pray to the lord my soul to keep
Well I don’t want anyone to have my soul
And if I died before I wake
This is not very likely to happen to me
I pray to god my soul to take
No I don’t think that what so ever
When that’s all you have to hold on to
Written on a lamp with that saying
The whole while God did not come
I was left in the midst of violence
What a stupid rhyme for children
There was no God to save me
All there could be was little old me
I crawled my way back to the top.
I don’t sleep that well anyway
I was told to pray to the lord my soul to keep
Well I don’t want anyone to have my soul
And if I died before I wake
This is not very likely to happen to me
I pray to god my soul to take
No I don’t think that what so ever
When that’s all you have to hold on to
Written on a lamp with that saying
The whole while God did not come
I was left in the midst of violence
What a stupid rhyme for children
There was no God to save me
All there could be was little old me
I crawled my way back to the top.
