If it's not a journey of equality in a relationship it rarely works

i believe, it is but natural, the balance ensures a healthy and smooth journey. Otherwise, the laws of physics are no different to relationships i say. Yes, love makes us blind, and forgiving and tolerating, and sometimes with devastating consequences. Respect, as you said, indeed THE key!! which by the way is naturally occuring in love, otherwise, pretty sure it's not love, prob'ly just lust.

Respect being just the header when in a relationship with
roots of honesty & openness
Loyalty and transparency, non judgemental
The list goes on
All Pointless unless one can acheive such ideals
Saying and doing oft not go hand in hand with some
Thankfully me and my love read from the same scriptures
