And Miles To Go Before I Leap

I tire of your protests
Oh the torment you've suffered, walking on eggshells
I dare you to tell me you can't walk on
When i waded through diamond dust just to get here

And lucky when it was up to my knees

Where are the feasts? Why is there no supplication!?
Let me guess, 'we've all got a burden to bear'
But your poison is another man's oasis
And he can't quench either thirst if you won't share

Well don't mind me if i dine in the trenches, love
I've got to bite through bone just to keep my mouth shut

Give me a reason to scream

In quiet moments of weakness
I allow myself the comfort of pity
My power seeded in hungry demons
My plate ever growing empty

There's a high wire if you want to walk above it all
A tight rope, if you dare to take a dive
White lies brought you to the summit to fall
But black clouds challenge you to straddle the sky

There's a thin line wherever you want one

You're not alone, they said
One foot on land, one foot at sea
But now it's all turning red and I can't turn my head
I don't want to see but I'm buried neck deep

And the light refuses to forsake me again
