THE VIOLIN AND THE DRUM

THE VIOLIN AND THE DRUM

Some people are too proud and vain,
But surely no one can know why.
They speak as if they bring the rain
While they eat what you toil and l.

Life has taught us that those big mouthed
Whether they are right or quite wrong,
Or if they're liked or fully loathed
Their own tune must go with each song.

How strange it is that who have sense
Are always faulty and not sure,
Whereas those who mean gross offence
Are right and their words have great lure.

The fiddle strives to carry you
To planes on their sublime cloud nine;
Few strokes of drum give much ado
And from your height they bring you down.
