beautiful people

Beautiful people may well know defeat,  
And suffering, and struggle, and sheer loss,  
But they will find their way out of the depths.  
 
These people can appreciate and beat  
An understanding of life, that may toss  
Compassion in with tears which, yes, once slept.  
 
As does a gentle, deep loving, replete  
With sensitivity; concerns at cost  
Are put in place: impossibly bereft.  
 
The idea of a humane world may seat  
The warring parties, who have raped and crossed  
Their Rubicon, with pain so unexpressed.  
   
These people do not happen. They are made  
From suffering and hands so overplayed.
