Devotion
I'm lying with my lover, who may seem
To others rather older, but to me
He's just the age I want and need and mean
To serve, because I like to; I will be
His night time shade of pale; his ray of dark,
Who takes him from his daylight to enjoy
A night of dusky hues that he can mark
Or hold until dawn comes along; he'll toy
With me and use me kindly - let him trace
My youthful curves, denoting them as owned,
And unavailable to those who'd chose
To trick my naive self; I'll not be loaned
Or leased to other men; he will excuse
Me from their wicked tastes; these are not right.
Devoted to my love, I will delight.
