Nonchalant: A Sonnet
So many people fuss and fight
Why? I never ever cared to know
Yet, there are reasons I can cite
Between the lines, read for show
Albeit, I'm always shining...aglow
Once in a rush, it's now I go slow
Perplexing many, I ride my way
As breath, exhales a latent decay
Awash, sun smiles whatever may
life-will- never break me down
Lest 'cycle runs me olden, grayed
Ashes to ashes, gift unto ground
Though, at times' far away to see
Nonchalant, a life, living as me...

I read this with a delight I had enjoy poetry in a long time. This felt precious to me. And once o got to the end I understood why. The joy of this piece was felt through and through.
