Life vs. Death

The womb of an ankh closes creating a cross
Expressing that someone's life has been loss
Symbolically representing a hysterectomy
At least that is how it is perceived by me

The creation of life and the taking of a life
Taken by being crucified with three spikes
A human sacrifice in order for us to be saved
Then in 3 days he was arisen out of his grave

Semiotics provide our optics with interpretations
And many of times can raise an array of questions
Like if the ankh means life and the cross means death
Why aren't more people wearing ankhs on their necks?

Why did it take a bloodletting offering for GOD to be forgiving?
Is he or she not the all powerful, omnipotent Supreme being?
Meaning, couldn't the same thing had occurred by just uttering 4 words?
"I FORGIVE YOU ALL" is all that humanity could've heard for the rebirth

If you were told today that a life had to be taken away for you to be saved
Would you view that biblical son of GOD concept in thee exact same way?
These are the type of questions on my mind that I'm not afraid to convey
The answer I receive more times than not is to get on my knees and pray
