Spring Migration - Dream
Spring Migration - Dream
Vines untangled
Often grow entwined again
As my former wife and I did
Separate living spaces
Yet friends for life
And so she accompanies me
To her apartment manager
And gets me a bump in the queue for pad
We stroll back to her place
Where she deals with devil cancer
On her way to Colorado Springs
Where molecular lazar treatment
to aim at those malignancies
And zap them to oblivion
Restoring her body to springtime
While I lie on her bed on my back
She rubs my tummy
And I hold back my tears
in my silent knowledge
That I may never see her again
Vines untangled
Often grow entwined again
As my former wife and I did
Separate living spaces
Yet friends for life
And so she accompanies me
To her apartment manager
And gets me a bump in the queue for pad
We stroll back to her place
Where she deals with devil cancer
On her way to Colorado Springs
Where molecular lazar treatment
to aim at those malignancies
And zap them to oblivion
Restoring her body to springtime
While I lie on her bed on my back
She rubs my tummy
And I hold back my tears
in my silent knowledge
That I may never see her again
