That Moment Of Compassion

Who  Was That In The Streets Tonite

From Under The Bridge Without Any Lights ?

Who Was That You Ignored

On Your Way To The Bank And Then To The Store

Bundled Up In Your Own Warm Car

With All Those Gifts You Feel Like A Star

You Get To Spend Time With Your Family

While Some Are So Cold They Can Barely Breathe

Did You Tell That One To Get A Job

When He Had One Then Got Robbed

They Beat Him Senseless So He Could Not Speak

Broke His Leg Now He Sleeps On The Street

The Mother Holds Her Child Wrapped In A Blanket

So Cold Tonite Think She's Gonna Make It ?

All She's Asking Is Some Money For Food

You Don't Have To Be So Nasty And Rude

Open Your Heart Share Your Last Dime

Speak A Kind Word Give Them Some Time

Take Them To A Cafe Hear Their Story

The Way It Was In Their Days Of Glory

Before Life Hit Them With So Much Hurt

They Feel Like The Trash Laying In The Dirt

Let Them Know There Still Is Caring

Don't Be Afraid Be A Little Daring

Let Them Know You Hope For Their Best

Then Go Home And Get A Good Rest !
