Demigoddess

I try to make good karma but
the Loki mischief seeps in

Spent Saturday night with
Dionysus at a wine tasting
Neither of us likes to spit

Spiteful Hera she’s a
buzz kill
Doesn’t like when I
make love knots in
Zeus’s beard
But you know, Hera
I knew him first, girl
Perhaps it’s time you
went off and morphed into
something else

Remembering my nights with Thor
Took me to a carnival and hit the hammer hard
He wins every time, what a prize
And those eyes!

Somebody explain to Demeter
How I spent centuries down under
So seedy
And now pomegranates make me gag

My Lot in life is not to be
Anyone’s
Pillar of salt
Can’t turn back this late in the game

I do remember the flutter of wings
My trials and tribulations
The endless grocery list:
Barley, millet, beans, golden wool
Dark beauty
I carried them all in a reusable bag
Always thinking about my environment now
I am fearless
The sleep was long
And love was always with me
It’s amazing what a long spiritual journey will do
for a girl’s
Psyche.
